On a positive note.
In July I was asked to be a part of the #Shop4crumlin campaign to help encourage people to use their one 4 all cards in over 8000 locations and every time the card were used over the few days, One 4 All donated 50c to Crumlin Children’s hospital. I instantly said yes.
I’ve seen first hand the incredible work that all of the staff at Crumlin Children’s hospital do, they’ve taken care of some of the very special people in my life, even the not so little ones.
When my dad was diagnosed with leukaemia all of his bloods and bone marrow where sent from Tallaght hospital to Crumlin Hospital as they specialised in Leukaemia, it seemed so cruel that my dad had this horrible illness but to think of the babies and children fighting it in Crumlin seemed too much to even comprehend.
I said that anything I could do to help the hospital even a bit, I would always try. So twelve years later, I took my dad’s grandkids out to #Shop4Crumlin we picked up some toys for the kids and used our One4All voucher. The loved it, Oisín was full of chat about buying toys for the boys and girls in hospital. Hannah looked after the voucher.
I was delighted to receive an email on Friday to announce that this year’s One4all Shop4Crumlin campaign has raised over €30,000 for the CMRF Giggle Fund.
Great news to start the week.
